Your role:

We’re in business to save our home planet. You’ll be helping us to achieve this by supporting on the daily operations, year-end closing and audit. You support on all inventory finance related matters, such as movements flows like inbound, returns, inventory adjustments, outbound but also warehousing, transport and retail related matters.

Our Inventory Accountant will have in-depth knowledge of our supply chain and understand all financial impacts and accounting processes when operational decisions are made. You will work closely with different functions within the organization, such as logistics, Wholesale, eCommerce, Retail, IT, and with external auditors.

Main tasks:

• Support on YEC audit: external auditors will review our financial statements and perform tests on our GL accounts, you will support on collecting information and answering questions. Next to supporting on YEC audit, you will also support on month end close, interim audit and year end close processes.

• Maintain, record and reconcile subledgers and ledgers for the inventory accounting within required time frames, e.g Inventory finished goods / intercompany / standard price cost analysis / inventory in transit / returns / inventory adjustments / retail warehousing / PPV / freight.

• Initiate improvements to streamline our processes with a high interest to implement technology solutions, identify new reporting requirements and work on continuous improvements.

• Support for all inventory finance related topics (inventory management, inventory reconciliation, cost management, inventory control) for all our EMEA operations.

• Support on all daily operations (invoicing, channel queries, IT queries).

• Building strong relationships with different stakeholders within the organization.

• Ad hoc requests, within the organization and team.

What we’re looking for:

• A love of the outdoors

• A passion for saving our home planet and making a positive impact through your work

• Degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field.

• Minimum of 3 to 5 years’ experience in a similar role.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel, and experience working with large datasets.

• Knowledge of business intelligence tools like PowerBI and Tableau would be a plus.

• Interest in creating reporting and analysis.

• Ability to work under tight schedules.

• Flexible attitude & good team player.

• Great attention to detail and organizational skills.

• Proactive with a “can do” attitude.

• Ability to work on own initiative.

• Fluency in English.

It’s a plus if you also have the following:

• Retail and warehousing accounting experience.

• Knowledge of business intelligence tools (like Power BI and Tableau) and ERP, especially Microsoft Dynamics 365 F&O

Other important details:

• This is a fixed term full-time vacancy, based in Amsterdam, intended to support the team for 7 months. If you’re successful in the selection process, we will offer you a 7 months fixed-term contract.

• We have a hybrid work model, working from home for maximum 3 (full-time roles) days per week.
