KEY ACCOUNT MANAGER Timberland SPORTING GOODS CENTRAL/NORTH (mwd)

Timberland is looking for an exceptional Key Account Manager (1 year contract) to join our Sales team in Germany.

Let's Talk about the Role

The Key Account manager will be responsible for the development of defined key accounts and grow them in a quantitative and qualitative way. You will be the main contact for multiple departments at the account with the support of internal stakeholders in various functions. You will drive the brand´s strategy and elevate its positioning at the respective accounts in the full region.

Your voice will be important to key functions within the brand. Furthermore, annual senior top 2 top meetings, product planning, line presentations, involvement in the full GTM process and in-season management will be part of your tasks.

How You Will Make a Difference

  • Leading, owning and expanding our market share through the defined key accounts with sustainable and profitable growth

  • Create account plans and execute them to grow the business sustainably

  • Planning of seasonal and annual sales budgets to maintain them in line with agreed targets – with a strong focus on 'Gross to Net' management

  • Creating, presenting and placing account specific assortment plans on a seasonal basis

  • Analyzing sales performance by product and category to maximize opportunities

  • Understanding of consumers to target through different channels, collections and assortments

  • Drive in-season management to maximize sales with the account

  • Weekly order book management, working with customer service

  • Showroom set up, sample monitoring and recording

  • Customer relationship building and nurturing

  • Guiding and executing our channeling and segmentation strategy in the Sporting Goods environment

  • Working very close within the Timberland EMEA structure and connect with the colleagues in the HQ & other regions

Skills for Success

A formal education and subsequent University Bachelor or Master's degree in Business and Economics are nice to have, but we are most interested in your total experience and professional achievements. That's why:

  • You will have a minimum of 3 years key account management or similar experience in a major sports fashion/outdoor brand or outdoor unions

  • You will have a deep knowledge and understanding of the European sports fashion and/or outdoor industry and values

  • You will have a strong network within to sports fashion/outdoor industry and/or outdoor unions

  • You will have experience with and understanding of sports fashion and/or outdoor consumers

  • You will have skill in crafting and maintaining mutual strategic plans and frequently measuring execution, whilst creating exceptional customer relationships at all levels

  • You will be analytical and strategic, with the ability to see the strength of using facts for decisions

  • You will be a high energy, goal oriented and driven individual who is great at getting things done

  • Skills in analysis, time management, communication, problem solving and innovative thinking and doing

  • You are an exceptional teamplayer
