POSITION DESCRIPTION:

As Wilson Central Market Manager, you will be responsible for driving sales growth in the Central region by managing and coaching the Wilson Area Sales Management & Key Account Management Team in the Central Europe territory to achieve each territory’s sales potential.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Responsible for execution of brand’s omni-channel strategy
  • Managing ~10- sales reps and key account manager, sports tech reps
  • Optimizing the consumer omni-channel experience in each epicenter integrating retail stores, digital and place-of-practice
  • Achieving sales plan through the day-to-day management & professional development of ASM/STR & KAM Team
  • Enabling sales team to successfully sell to their accounts
  • Developing a highly skilled sales team through expert coaching on brand products, programs, territory management, account planning, call planning, selling process execution and tool utilization
  • Coordinating own participation in selling processes with sales team at high impact points, but does not take over the sales process
  • Identifying opportunities to drive cross-category growth and coaches the sales team on how to achieve this growth
  • Setting clear, actionable short-term goals for each sales employee to maximize performance
  • Training responsibility for Brand Sales Call routine. Regular refresher training and monitoring of training needs of the team

YOUR PROFILE:

  •  5+ years of experience in field Sales, with a majority of this experience working in sales to retailers (B2B2C)
  • Bachelor or master’s degree in business relevant field and/or relevant corporate Sales Development Programs or equivalent
  • Ability to communicate (verbally and written) in very good English is a must in additional to fluency in local language (verbally and written)
  • 3 – 5 years of experience in managing the performance and development a team of Sales Representatives
  • Profound knowledge & understanding of sales processes, mechanisms and tools
  • Professional background in branded consumer goods or sporting/outdoor industry preferred
  • Has successfully managed within an international matrix organisation

  • Presenting: Is articulate & effective in describing Amer Sports portfolio offering. Is clear and direct in providing direction, encouragement, or feedback
  • Managing objections: Anticipates sales team reactions to a direction & prepares strong supports and rationale. Coaches’ sales reps on how to manage customer questions, concerns & demands
  • Customer value orientation: Exemplifies importance of creating value for customers and orients coaching discussions accordingly. Acts as a ‘back-up’ support to sales representative in the case of customer issues
  • Teamwork & people management: Consistently acts to sell through others, not through personal salesmanship. Establishes a regular coaching process as the prime vehicle to achieve sales forecast
  • Business acumen: Appreciates and able to engage the sales team Amer Sports’ & Wilson strategy and “big picture”
  • Leading & Supervising: Provides team members with a clear direction; Sets appropriate standards of behavior; Delegates work appropriately and fairly; Motivates and empowers others; Provides staff with development opportunities and coaching; Recruits staff of a high caliber
  • Strong administration, system and IT skills: Mercury, BI, Microsoft office suite – outlook and excel (advanced level), word – intermediate, SAP, Workday, collaboration center processes, PRP administration
