Let's talk about the role!

As the Senior Credit Reporting Analyst, you will be working with a variety of data modelling and BI tools and will be entrusted to develop, maintain, and produce accurate Credit and MIS reports.

You will provide in-depth analysis on the department KPIs and support Senior Management in utilising this data and analysis, in order to make informed strategic decisions.

How You Will Make a Difference:

Your responsibilities will include a variety of the following duties on a daily, weekly and monthly basis:

  • Coding of queries in Cognos, to access data not available in existing data packages

  • Generate ad-hoc reports and regular datasets or report information for end users using system tools and database or database warehousing queries and scripts

  • Develop and maintain report formats, information and dashboards

  • Clean-up of data sources to ensure reporting of correct information

  • Accurate and on time delivery of Month End and Quarter End Financial Reports

  • Creation of any necessary MI required by the Credit Department for better informed decision making

  • Add commentary and insight information on the reports and analysis delivered

  • Implementing Continuous Improvement methodology to review and enhance existing systems and reports

  • Work with the other Reporting Analysts to plan and manage workload factoring in department needs, sharing knowledge and technical expertise with colleagues

  • Leading and participation of Projects inside and outside the Credit Department

  • Support any ad-hoc reporting requirements for specific presentations, meetings, or projects as well as any other ad-hoc duties required in line with the expected level of capability for the role

Skills for Success

  • Experience within a Reporting or Data-Analytical role, ideally within a credit-related function

  • Experience using SQL and Data Modelling

  • Working knowledge of any of the following systems: Cognos Business Intelligence, Tableau, Power Apps / Power BI / Power Query

  • Computer literate and a proficient user of Microsoft Office applications (Advanced in Excel)

  • Excellent communication skills in both written and verbal formats, in order to build relationships, influencing and advising colleagues, senior management and key stakeholders

  • Exposure to leading teams/projects

  • Adaptable and proactive

  • A lateral thinker with good problem-solving skills
