Altra is looking for an exceptional eCommerce Manager to lead our eCommerce team based in Stabio, Switzerland.

Let's talk about the role

You will help shape the future of Altra Running EMEA’s eCommerce channel and be responsible for its overall performance. Owning the channel’s KPIs (traffic, conversion rate, sales) by collaborating with internal teams and leveraging external agencies. Besides sales growth, you will focus on the overall website’s user experience and technology evolution, content/inventory management, operations, as well as customer service.

How you will make the difference

You will ensure a best-in-class representation of the brand on altrarunning.eu, with the website being our pinnacle digital store front and you will achieve this by:

  • Being responsible for altrarunning.eu’s eCommerce P&L by working closely with the Finance Department on plan and forecasting.

  • Managing all financial aspects of the channel including sales targets, budgeting, inventory management, as well as supplier invoice management and reconciliation.

  • Partnering with Finance, Marketing and Planning departments to forecast weekly/monthly traffic, conversion rate, sales and margins. 

  • Creating strategies to deliver against plan, eg: traffic, conversion rate, sales, margin contribution and inventory turns, working closely with all departments to help achieve these.

  • Continuously improving the digital user experience and usability to build a seamless, delightful consumer journey

  • Analyzing KPIs, sales results, analytics and inventory to build action plans based on results

  • Developing cohesive content plan and tactical promotional activities for the website that align with in-market campaigns and activations.

  • Managing external website agency to continuously optimize the website experience, technology, merchandising and inventory.

  • Collaborating with Marketing and external agencies to drive customer acquisition and loyalty, and optimize paid performance campaigns to reach traffic and conversion goals. 

  • Driving the Customer Service team to deliver a delightful customer experience and continuously improve the overall shopping journey, from discovery to purchase to return.

  • Advocating for the online customer and spearhead the overall channel’s strategic positioning in line with industry trends and best practices.

  • Staying up-to-date on the evolving business and consumer impact of a highly competitive digital landscape, while building a win-win strategy for all online retailers that preserves the premium positioning of the brand

What you need to succeed

  • Previous experience in an eCommerce or digital environment with a focus on achieving business results.

  • Experience in using Google Analytics is important. History of setting up relevant reports a bonus

  • Experience with the Magento platform is plus

  • Insights and knowledge of the evolving omni-channel landscape and eCommerce Universe

  • Target driven individual with great agency and people management skills

  • Able to weigh up short and long term business goals, actions, challenges and benefits

  • Financial skills, comfortable with numbers and reporting to the business
