The North Face are looking for an exceptional Digital Media Specialist – Affiliate & Paid Social to join our Digital Performance Marketing team based in Stabio, Switzerland.

Let’s Talk about the Role

The Digital Media Specialist is responsible for the creation of the Affiliate & Paid Social strategies, as well as their execution and performance monitoring. This role requires a strong execution focus in building an efficient and durable Affiliate strategy to drive traffic and increase conversion to our e-Commerce business, as well as a solid understanding of the Paid Social ecosystem and platforms (Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, etc).

As the Digital Media Specialist, you will have a strong background in performance media, specifically Affiliate marketing, with an interest in developing a broader digital skill-set focused on full funnel consumer journeys.

Responsible for The North Face EMEA Affiliate programmes (7 markets so far) and Paid Social channels, with an understanding of broader digital and performance media channels and their role in driving eCommerce business, the objectives of this role are to drive qualified traffic, increase revenue and improve brand health metrics and ROAS. The focus will be on growing and elevating our Affiliate activity by creating and implementing a strategy tailored by market and type of affiliates (content, coupon, cashback, etc).

How You Will Make a Difference

  • Work with the Affiliate agency and the Senior Manager Digital Marketing to elaborate a strategy in line with The North Face objectives and develop a market-level approach with specific strategies fitting each markets’ maturity and needs.

  • Work with the Affiliate agency to implement affiliates initiatives and drive key processes and activities such as publisher recruitment, strategic activations, commissioning, content creation, placement monitoring, testing roadmap, etc.

  • Own the relationship with the agency and ensure our programmes deliver in line with our KPI and targets. Be the main point of contact and handle the relationship.

  • Own the Affiliate budget from planning in line with overall eCommerce targets & phasing, to ensuring its efficient delivery throughout the year by managing it very closely.

  • Handle reporting and share-out of performances to better report on Affiliate performance and understand its place in the eCom journey.

  • Work with the Paid Social agency and the Senior Manager Digital Marketing to elaborate a strategy in line with The North Face objectives.

  • Leverage and integrate consumer and audience insights to deliver effective consumer-led digital campaigns and brand experiences on our Paid Social channels.

  • Elevate Paid Social presence by testing new formats and platforms in order to grow efficiently and effectively.

  • Work closely with the Brand Social team to ensure a smooth collaboration and alignment between Paid and Organic activities on Social, and with the Digital Media Specialist in charge of Search to ensure consistency across channels.

  • Manage product feeds related to Affiliate and Paid Social activity.

  • Track and report digital media budgets to maximize ROAS and achieve financial targets. Track and monitor budget on a monthly-basis to ensure compliance with company-approved numbers.

Skills for Success

  • Experience: at least 2 years-experience in a digital marketing role. A background in Affiliate is mandatory.

  • Educational Requirements: A formal education and subsequent University Degree, Bachelor or Master level in Business Administration or Marketing are nice to have, but we are most interested in your total experience and professional achievements.

  • Language skills: Fluent in English (both written and spoken). Knowledge of Italian, French, Spanish and German would be a plus.

  • You will have experience of working with technologies and systems such as, but not limited to, Google Analytics, Affiliate platforms (Awin, CJ, …), Campaign Manager, etc.

  • You will be comfortable managing, analysing and interpreting large datasets with the ability to distil key information for stakeholders and partners. Numerically literate.

  • You will possess a deep understanding of The North Face brand with a passion for the outdoor and athletic markets.
