As EMEA Merchandising Lead, you will be the product expert in our European management team, leading assortment and product strategy for all our channels, across DtC and wholesale. Your entrepreneurial spirit will enable you to identify, conceptualise and prioritise improvement opportunities in our range and work to implement them cross-functionally. Your Team:
You will be part of the European management team and work alongside the Head of Sales, Head of Marketing and Head of DtC ecom for the region, with a clear focus on product. Your future team will include apparel and footwear merchandising experts. As your work is strongly cross-functional in nature, you will also closely work with our Product Management teams, Product merchandising and Operations. The sales directors, marketing leads, key account managers, DtC leads and tech rep teams in the markets consider you a trusted and valuable advisor.
Your Mission:

Lead the European product strategy, including European market feedback and directional input on range and product categories to the product management team, starting with season kick-off to post-season debrief

Work with category sales leads and product teams (apparel and footwear) on building regional and country-specific assortments based on the global range

Champion the growth of On’s performance apparel business by identifying the right commercial levers to acquire new On apparel fans across all our channels and implementing those levers together with the team

Lead and translate market insights, feedback and regional needs during the product calendar to Global Product teams to inform the product line plan for future seasons.

Advise global sales and product team on pricing pyramid for the European markets

Contribute to a thorough seasonal forecasting process & lead de-brief to product team post sell-in

Provide relevant market insights to the product team throughout the full development cycle

Define product and tech stories for the region to support sales and marketing team in sell-in and define competitor set for On footwear and apparel lines to support sales team with positioning
Your Story:

You have 5 years' experience with a minimum of 3 years’ experience in a merchandising or product management role, footwear experience preferred but not essential

You are experienced with Key Accounts – ideally with a European focus

You have a good understanding of the sportswear landscape, consumers and channels selling running/training, outdoor and active-lifestyle shoes and apparel

You are experienced in developing distribution strategy, whilst keeping consumers, accounts and sales teams front of mind

You are a strong communicator and presenter in front of diverse internal and external audiences

You have experience in visual merchandising online and offline

You are analytical and have a future oriented mindset, paired with a can-do attitude
-
You are a strong team-player, keen to play a connector role between the regional and product teams

You have business proficiency in English, other European languages a plus
