Your role:

We are in business to save our home planet. You’ll be helping us achieve this by providing a complete shopping experience for our customers, supporting the Store Manager and being an ambassador of the brand in the local community.

Main tasks:

• Provide and inspire best in class customer service, where every customer is welcomed into our community and taken on a journey led by our mission.

• Talk confidently to the customers about our products, values and history.

• Show passion for the brand to every customer and convey what makes us unique.

• Be an environmental ambassador with our customers by leading on environmental initiatives and environmental storytelling, together with the store team and the UK environmental team.

• Inspire and develop our team so that each person contributes to the productivity of the store, both in sales and our community building.

• Be responsible for opening and closing the store and securing all store assets.

• Act as the go-to person for the store team when the Retail Store Manager is absent. Ensure an update and overview of the store.

• Work alongside the Retail Store Manager and the product team to ensure stock levels are maintained to a high standard.

• Maintain high merchandising values that reflect the Patagonia image and tell our story by being creative, educational, inviting and expressive.

 

What we’re looking for:

• A love of the outdoors

• A passion for saving our home planet and making a positive impact through your work

• Minimum 2-3 years of experience in retail or related customer service experience

• Language skills: Fluent in French and English. Other languages are a plus

• Excellent customer service and sales skills

• Ability to effectively train, delegate and communicate clear expectations

• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook

• Ability to work in a self-motivated environment and demonstrate pro-active solutions-based thinking

• Demonstrated flexibility on the job

• Excellent organizational skills

• Accuracy and attention to detail

• Effective communication skills

• Ability to effectively work in a team

It’s a plus if you also have the following:

• Stock management experience

• Personal experience with environmental activism and or outdoor sports

• Patagonia product experience/knowledge

• This is a full time position based in Chamonix store.
