We are recruiting for a Demand Planner to produce accurate seasonal sales and production forecasts using analytical, marketing, sales and inventory data, to inform the stock buying decisions for the business, monitor performance against forecast, identify opportunities and risks.

Key responsibilities of Demand Planner (including but not limited to):

  • Work with the Forecasting and Analytics Manager to deliver seasonal forecasts in line with the critical path deadlines
  • Develop effective forecasting models that are simple to understand and to interrogate
  • Build bottom-up sales and production forecasts for future seasons that inform the B2B buying process
  • Maintain and carry out routine reviews (weekly, monthly, seasonally) and report on current performance against forecast and identify opportunities and risks
  • Identify stock shortages and overs and work with the Stock Control team to optimize stock on hand
  • Work closely with the customer sales team to gain insight on key account retailers
  • Responsible for the maintenance of demand forecasts in Nav ensuring these are kept up to date at all times
  • Responsible for the accurate maintenance of the planning tools used
  • Propose and implement solutions to improve demand planning accuracy

To join us as Demand Planner you must have:


  • Previous experience in an Assistant or Junior Merchandising or demand planning position from a retail or import merchandising background
  • High level of IT competency across Navision & Excel
  • Conscientious and self-motivated, able to work within a team and on own initiative, with minimal supervision
  • Excellent communication skills at all levels
  • Ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines with the ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritise workload
  • Organised and methodical with an exceptional level of attention to detail
  • Able to provide the Buying and Merchandising team with excellent service


  • A commercial understanding of the outdoor industry
