We are looking for an outstanding Digital Accounts Merchandise Planner fluent in both English and Spanish to join our EMEA Digital Accounts team of The North Face in Stabio, Switzerland.

Our world is changing, and our consumers are moving more and more digital. As a result, our digital channels are becoming the starting point for consumers to engage with our brand – in our own E-Commerce and our digital eco-system which spans across the leading- and fastest growing European Digital Partners and Top Digital Key Accounts (“Digital Titans”), marketplaces, pure players and verticals.

As the Merchandise Planner you will drive and support our transformation with the leading- and fastest growing European Digital Partners, Top Digital Key Accounts and E-Commerce business for The North Face. The focus of your role will be on digital channels, specifically El Corte Ingles Digital, with the key objective to create and implement new ways of working to elevate our Merchandise Planning and Trading aligned with the fast-paced digital business.

Furthermore as the Digital Accounts Merchandise Planner you will play a key role to further strengthen and develop our mutually beneficial and long-term partnership with El Corte Ingles Digital for The North Face.

How you will make a difference

You will be responsible for merchandise trading including all inventory management and G2N management and cross-functional go-to-market alignment and performance tracking as well as:

  • Lead and evolve best-in-class digital Merchandising Planning process fully aligned with our overall brand strategy, positioning and with the seasonal merchandising strategy;
  • Full ownership to manage the performance of the defined assortment, working closely with a cross-functional team dedicated to the El Corte Ingles Business (Online and B&M teams)
  • Work alongside El Corte Ingles buying team and KAMs to manage seasonal, monthly and weekly intake requirements;
  • Working on Inventory Management and coverage optimization at product/size level and across our DCs, with focus on trading performance and stock level optimization, delivering against The North Face and B&M El Corte Ingles inventory and financial objectives;
  • Be responsible of the weekly inventory replenishment of El Corte Ingles Digital platform assuring the right stock level assortment in order to maximize sales and minimize risks;
  • Full alignment with overall go-to-market calendar to ensure seamless execution and strong accelerated growth;
  • Working in partnership with marketplace’s digital team, Buying team and Digital Trading teams and work with the Digital Planning Manager on the development of yearly and seasonal merchandise financial plans across Revenue, COGS, Discounts, Margins, ASP and Units
  • Set standards of trading and inventory management processes and deliver best practices to be shared across our cross-functional teams, proactively proposing continuous improvements in processes and tools in collaboration with digital key accounts counterparts and VF Central Team to reach trading excellence and best-in-class inventory management execution;
  • Constantly striving for innovation and to optimise ways of working by contributing in setting up new processes, tools and report.

                                                             

What you need to succeed?

  • A proven track record in a Merchandising Planning, trading or equivalent Business Planning/Trading role
  • Language skills: fluent in Spanish and English
  • Relevant Merchandise Planning experience within a fast-paced retail business, ideally a multi-branded eCommerce retailer
  • Deep understanding of the fast-paced digital environment and merchandising success factors on digital platforms
  • Excellent knowledge of Excel. Knowledge of Access, SAP and BI systems is a plus.

A formal education and subsequent University Bachelor or Master’s degree are nice to have, but we are most interested in your total experience and professional achievements.
