We are looking for an inspiring thought leader and practitioner in Community Marketing to strengthen our expertise in this field and to build our community activities of tomorrow. Creating meaningful relationships and partnerships that position On at the heart of the running community, this role is an exciting challenge to help us define the next stage of how On is discovered and experienced in China.
Your team
As a sports brand that is born in the Swiss Alps and with running at its core, the China team at On is a fast-paced place to be with a great desire to explore. While this position will have complete ownership of our community program in China, you will be working cross-functionally collaborating with our Brand Marketing and the Commercial team to give our members the platform to share their stories with others and to grow our community across the country. Through your interaction with our teams around the globe, you will as well inspire the community strategy of the entire Oniverse. Ambitious, forward-thinking and extremely innovative, the joint efforts of you and the team will be the ultimate incarnation of On’s mission to ignite the human spirit through movement.
This role is based in Shanghai, China.
Your mission
- Build and manage On’s community strategy and program in China, crafting experiences based on our brand’s identity.
- Connect and ignite the brand with run crews, clubs, individuals and groups – creating relationships as an authentic part of their communities.
- Build and manage On’s ambassador program, own the ambassador activation calendar and scale community outreach.
- Build key strategic partnerships with key city and regional focus, helping grow brand awareness and engage with a new audience.
- Develop strong in region leaders, both internally and externally, who can activate the community program locally against brand and business goals.
- Work hand in hand with the Brand Marketing team to enable community members to share their experiences, ensure a consistent brand voice and support the seasonal GTM plan.
- Liaise with the Commercial team to support the achievements of business goals of our own retail stores and our wholesale partners.
- Build and manage local initiatives and programs with key charity and social partners that help ignite the power of the human spirit – helping make running accessible to all and giving people the space to dream.
- Define success metrics for the community program and steer budget allocation to enable successful implementation of activities in the different cities.
Your story
- A deep understanding and first-hand experience of what it takes to build and grow a community.
- Ability to drive grassroots activities that support business goals at store level.
- An understanding of running culture with knowledge on city clubs, crews, and running groups.
- Experience in membership management as well as event planning and execution.
- Self-starter with an entrepreneurial mindset – naturally curious, creative problem solver, and action orientated.
- Highly organized with experience managing multiple projects and stakeholders.
- Excellent relationship-building skills – both externally and internally across teams and managing external partners.
- Fluent in Chinese & English.
