We are looking for an outstanding Junior Retail Planner to join our The North Face in Stabio, Switzerland.

Let’s talk about the role!   

Within the Planning and Allocation team of The North Face, this role is responsible for part of the product portfolio, working with the Buying, Allocation, Merchandising, Marketing and Visual Merchandising teams to translate the buyer’s vision into profitable results.

The Junior Retail Planner creates the seasonal collections to achieve sales and profit targets across both Retail and E-commerce channels using the most current trends in the marketplace combined with evaluations of the business performance and company direction for their area of responsibility.

KPI’s to be monitored will be Sales, Initial Margin, Gross Margin, Maintained Margin, Product Quality, Sell-through%, Inventory Turns, GMROI, Markdown, OTB Variance.
 

We expect that our Junior Retail Planner will deliver unbeatable results, whilst also fulfilling the following aspects of the role:

  • Analyses sales, stock and profitability performance by item, class, division, and attribute groupings and use this knowledge and trend direction to provide recommendations to maximise opportunities

  • Manages assigned weekly/monthly merchandise, omnichannel reports, and develop new ones as needed

  • Provides analytical support to the Planning Manager, Buying and Allocation team

  • Learns Open to Buy process and monitor inventory between DTC channels and different warehouses

  • Understands the similarities and differences between the Ecom and Brick&Mortar consumer

  • Maintains eCom PIR

  • Performs inventory reorders and cancellations

What you need to succeed?  

  • You have a University degree, and at least 2+ years experience in retail planning or related fields

  • You are fluent in English (other languages a bonus)

  • You have advanced skills in Excel and PowerPoint

  • You have analytical mindset with retail math acumen

  • You are detail oriented

  • You are team oriented

  • You have passion for streetwear & fashion
