The Localization Project Manager will be responsible for managing the localization of On’s content, including planning, coordination, and communication with LSPs, freelance transcreators, and all internal stakeholders.

Your Mission:

  • Resource, plan, and project manage the localization element of all relevant projects on time and on budget using a variety of platforms and resources, particularly Asana.

  • Define, manage, and communicate cross-project schedules, scope, progress, risks, issues, and key learnings.

  • Collect and analyze data to identify, prioritize and address risks and opportunities to improve team efficiency and effectiveness of operations.

  • Recruit, onboard, and provide continuous support to the team of in-house and external linguists.

  • Work with internal and external linguists to maintain translation memories, termbases, and other relevant documentation.

  • Stay ahead of translation technology updates and localization industry trends and help to promote the adoption of the latest best practice and technology among colleagues and external vendors to drive continuous improvements in translation efficiency and effectiveness.

  • Manage our freelance pool of linguists: day-to-day communication, invoices & planning.

Your Story:

  • At least 5 years of experience in LSP, coordinating translations and content localization.

  • Strong analytical skills – even in the most ambiguous situation, you make educated decisions, using data to identify the root cause of a problem before creatively and efficiently identifying the solutions with the biggest possible impact.

  • Calling you an expert in using CAT tools (Memsource in particular) doesn’t even begin to do your knowledge and experience justice.

  • Proven experience in managing transcreation and localization across multiple locales and channels e.g. Digital, Video, Social, Print, & (D)OOH.

  • Project management experience – Responsible, resilient and adaptable, you take pride in your ability to manage a wide range of projects while always delivering the WOW.

  • A proven track record of gaining trust and respect by consistently demonstrating sound critical-thinking skills and maintaining composure in stressful situations.

  • Exceptional attention to detail, and follow-through skills.

  • You like things to run smoothly – and with your organizational skills, they always do. Totally focused, you manage your priorities like a pro.

  • Exceptional written, negotiation, and verbal communication skills with the ability to communicate with all levels of employees, clients, and vendors. Open-minded, respectful, and a great listener, you’re a master at expressing yourself – both verbally and through the written word.

  • Native English speaker. Fluency in any other European language is a plus.
