Your Mission
- Reports directly to the Head of Bikewear & Apparel on all issues relating to development, product quality, garment costs, vendor relations
- Creates and maintains tech packs including bill of materials, measurement chart and construction detail page to ensure consistency throughout the entire development process
- Distinct understanding of fit and quality
- Negotiates garment cost breakdown directly with the factory on material costing and consumption to meet agreed target cost
- Reviews and responsibility for all prototypes, salesman samples and pre-production samples
- Ensures both the technical superiority and the product quality of all assigned products
- Responsible for trim and fabric sourcing for the assigned product lines
- Communicates closely with all related vendors and suppliers on a daily basis
- Plans and tracks the development of all assigned products to ensure a timely completion within the agreed development timeline
Your Profile
- Bachelor‘s degree in apparel design, construction, and/or patternmaking, or equivalent combination of education and experience
- 5+ years of related professional experience in the outdoor/action sports industry
- Knowledge of product life cycle and product development key deadlines
- Strong organizational skills
- Participation and proactive approach to process and/ or calendar optimization with supervision
- Participation in goal setting and driving them to fruition
- IT knowledge in Adobe Illustrator and MS Office
- Fluent in English and German
- Willingness to travel internationally and domestic
- Specific knowledge of trims and embellishments are a plus
