Napapijiri is looking for an exceptional Senior Manager, eCommerce to join our eCommerce team based in Stabio (Switzerland).

Let’s Talk about the Role

As a Senior Manager, eCommerce you will be responsible for overseeing the strategy and day-to-day performance of the Napapijri.com site.

Reporting into the Senior Director Sales, the Senior Manager must build strong partnerships with internal stakeholders – digital, brand marketing, finance, product merchandising, technology, and have a strong understanding of the European digital landscape.

You will Lead efforts related to our website including the regional eCommerce merchandising strategy, eCommerce marketing content, seasonal product offerings, inventory management, and the online operations experience.

It is imperative you have the skills to create a strong team culture leading by example attitude, inclusion across your colleagues, connecting all departments to build  a winning attitude across your teams.

How You Will Make a Difference

You will achieve this by focusing on:

Website Trading and Merchandising (Buying & Planning)

  • Lead one eCom Buyer and one eCom Merchandising Planner to accelerate the online product merchandising strategy in partnership with internal stakeholders. Identify and evaluate white space merchandising opportunities and new growth initiatives by leveraging product and category KPI data, consumer insights, and market trend knowledge.
  • Collaborate with Marketing and Product teams to help shape the overall growth of the seasonal assortments.
  • Oversee and work cross-functionally to ensure successful end-to-end planning and execution of merchandise assortment and inventory levels, considering brand goals and financial objectives.
  • Partner with the Digital Merchandiser to optimize web merchandising strategy including product sorting, search, product recommendations, as well as categorization, navigation, taxonomy, and filtering to drive sales, user engagement, and user understanding.
  • Oversee the eCom commercial calendar, specific trading events (end of season sales, Black Friday, etc.) and coordination of the execution in partnership with internal teams and stakeholders.

eCommerce Marketing & CRM

  • Lead one eCom Marketing Content Coordinator on the website content briefing and commercial/localised CRM program.
  • Collaborate with brand and digital marketing to present brand and product stories online in a compelling way that delivers a rich experience to the consumer.
  • Partner with the digital marketing team to create and optimize the content through the consumer journey to drive customer acquisition, loyalty, engagement, and achieving sales goals.
  • Partner with Digital Marketing Manager who is responsible for executing marketing and traffic and conversion driving initiatives including paid digital, SEO, and paid social in alignment with trading activities maximize revenues.
  • Collaborate with the CRM/Loyalty coordinator to improve the segmentation, loyalty program, customer retention, and database growth across the eCom channel.

Website & Operations

  • Lead one eCom Operations Specialist on ensuring all websites are operational and optimized. Monitor that the end-to-end consumer experience is running efficiently and effectively, including, and not limited to website testing, new payment options and/or features, logistics, customer service, warehouse partnership, etc.
  • Partner with Technology teams to identify opportunities in the development roadmap and feed into business requirements.
  • Support any large project implementations and website enhancements as needed.

Reporting & Feedback

  • Provide Weekly, Monthly, and Seasonal KPIs Reporting and Insights on the eCom business.
  • Identify any risks and opportunities and highlight to leadership as needed.
  • Partner and work with the eCom Director and finance team to support the definition of the yearly business plan and across traffic, conversion rate, average order value, demand revenue, and return rate. Provide weekly and daily forecasts as needed.
  • Partner with Web Analyst to build product dashboards and seasonal reporting to support business analysis.

Skills for Success

The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skills, and /or abilities required for the individual to be successful in this position.

  • A minimum of 4 years’ experience in a similar role, 5 -7 years relevant and in-depth work experience with a proven track record in eCommerce Trading , product merchandising, stock management and consumer experience
  • Relevant eCommerce platform experience & knowledge of systems architecture principles (SFCC is a plus)
  • Experience in BI systems and advanced Microsoft Excel skills
  • Good understanding of eCommerce customer journey & digital marketing principles
  • Knowledge of Digital Merchandising Tools
  • Relevant web analytics experience (Google Analytics preferred)
  • Highly-performance driven and result-oriented team player with strong analytical skills
  • Ability to understand financial measurements and how to impact them
  • Strong analytical, communication, and project management skills are required
  • Strategic and operational decision-making with detail understanding
  • Language skills: fluent in English. Any other language will be a plus
  • Entrepreneurial mindset, can-do attitude, and desire to challenge the status quo
  • Strong team building skills
  • Lead by example

A formal education and subsequent University Bachelor or Master’s degree in  business, ecommerce, consumer behaviour through social media studies, Marketing, PR understanding are nice to have, but we are most interested in your total experience and professional achievements.
