Atomic is one of the leading manufacturers of wintersports equipment and part of the Amer Sports Corporation. For our Boot Business Unit, located at our head office in Altenmarkt im Pongau / Salzburg we are seeking at the earliest possible date:

PROJECT MANAGER R&D BOOTS SOFT (M/F/D)

In this role you will be part of the Atomic Boot Business Unit specifically responsible for the development of all new soft components/liners for Ski or XC Boots from 2D design drawings to final serial production. Your task will be to ensure our products meet the jointly specified quality criteria demanded by our Business Unit, industrial organization, consumers, customers, and athletes alike.

KEY MISSION AND ACCOUNTABILITIES:

  • Follow the design process closely from start to finish
  • Establish/track all product dimensions and relevant functional KPIs
  • The transfer of 2D design drawings in CAD program
  • Pattern making
  • Close collaboration with Quality, R&D, Product Management, Design, Winter Sports Industrial Operations and/or Asian Sourcing
  • Provide quality control support for sample production
  • Work under given quality, cost and release date targets
  • Product testing

YOUR PROFILE AND REQUIRED COMPETENCIES:

  • Completed studies (university/technical college) in Mechanical Engineering and/or professional education as a shoemaker
  • Work experience in the footwear industry as a plus
  • High product affinity, sound understanding of consumer needs and commercial market
  • Sound proficiency in MS Office, CAD knowledge as an advantage
  • Business-fluent German & English skills required
  • Team player with a pro-active and collaborative working style
  • Flexibility and willingness to travel
  • Competent Alpine/XC Skier

The annual collective agreement’s minimum salary for this position is € 38.000 gross. Depending on your personal qualifications and vocational experience, we offer an appropriate payment in excess thereof for this responsible activity and opportunities for development in a globally active group of companies.
