We are excited to offer the opportunity to join our Performance Footwear Design team for a 6 months internship. You will work in a very creative and exciting environment where you will be involved in the full design process of footwear creation starting from concept research to product briefings for production.
Your Team:
You will work in the On design studio within an international team, shaping the future On product line up. The design team includes footwear, apparel and spatial designers who all closely collaborate with shoe developers, product managers, material and innovation specialists, art directors and marketing people.
Your Mission:
- Be part of the footwear design team creating design concepts from briefing stage through to the final product
- Communicate and interact with other teams such as Material, Colour, Development and Product Managers.
- Support in the development of the shoes with mock-ups, visuals, drawings and other mediums.
- Will have the chance to collaborate with our Zurich based development team and our Vietnam based development team on creating exciting, functional and performance-driven products
- You will research into market and consumer trends to help support future opportunities relevant to the companies vision
Your Story:
- You exhibit a passion for design and have a keen interest for getting into the footwear, apparel and fashion industry
- Sketching and drawing is something that comes natural to you whether it is on paper or digitally
- Preferably you have had at least 1 year of design work experience or internship
- You have an interest in trend and consumer research and you enjoy keeping a close eye on fashion and footwear movements
- You enjoy communicating to others and can produce clearly defined mood boards and presentations
- You have strong 2D software skills (Photoshop, Illustrator, Adobe CS) and 3D software skills are definitely a plus.
- You are able to work in a fast-moving environment and handling several projects at one time
- You have a strong interest in working with varied people and other teams
- You are fluent in English both written and spoken, any other language would be a plus
