What will you do?

This role supports the Marketplace Merchandising, Category Merchandising and Regional Product Creation Teams. The Merchandising Coordinator will liaise with Regional Product Creation, Merchandising, Planning and Sales to ensure that relevant Assortments including SMU exclusives are effectively managed, communicated and delivered accurately and on-time.  The role will help drive corporate growth and profit goals, specifically in the wholesale channels.

Main responsibilities will be:

Data Management

  • Consolidate information regarding styles, accounts, and forecasts

  • Maintain information in the merchandising and assortment plans

  • Prepare meeting decks for account GTM process and SMU sessions

Merchandising

  • Understand assortments and provide necessary insights and re-caps to help facilitate decision-making especially for SMUs

  • Communicate with the sales team and the sales operations team to ensure GTM request forms and templates are completed and submitted

  • Support Merchandising Operations Manager in keeping track of calendar updates

Reporting/Analysis

  • Consolidate and package historical buy information to facilitate future planning

  • Assist Merchandising Operations Manager in running the bi-weekly sales analysis, opportunities and risks

  • Assist the SMU Product Line Manager in comparing SMU briefs to overall line plans

System Administration

  • Generate VLPs for account assortments utilizing PLM

  • Understand the operational GTM process as related to PLM, LineList and calendar

  • Assist Merchandising Operations Manager in consolidating bi-weekly PLM extracts

  • Coordinating cross-functional departmental inputs

What you need to succeed?

  • University degree or equivalent

  • 1+ years of Merchandising and/or Product Management experience

  • Excel and Power Point Expertise

  • Excellent English speaking and writing skills

  • Works effectively cross-departmentally

  • Collaborates and communicates effectively in a team environment

  • Familiar with retail math

  • Understanding and passion for product

  • Passion for Vans and the lifestyle it represents
