The property portfolio of adidas consists of more than 300 Corporate Properties incl. showrooms and distribution centres. The key headquarter buildings are in Herzogenaurach, Germany – Portland, USA – Shanghai, China and Amsterdam, Netherlands.  This role will manage the Procurement process across the occupancy stage of the property lifecycle.

Purpose & Overall Relevance for the Organization:

Support the development of procurement category practices on a global basis together with stakeholders, including:

  • Define and deploy sourcing strategies for the Facility Management category
  • Execute stakeholder management to maximize total cost of ownership savings and Procurement’s value contribution
  • Develop and Execute supplier relationship management strategies
  • Meet compliance targets with company policies, strategies, and processes
  • Deliver committed annual Procurement Savings targets
  • Drive innovative approaches and continuous improvement practices Key Responsibilities:Support the definition of the category strategy for Facility Management:
  • Analyze category and define category profile, incl. risk assessment, supplier base assessment and SRM strategy
  • Benchmark category practices to identify initiatives for improvement
  • Build category specific strategic plan in alignment with business teams
  • Align strategic plan to financial budget and global business strategies
  • Define P2P and buying channel strategies, identify and consider automation potential and P2P/ channel effectiveness Support market strategy implementation and savings realization
  • Initiate internal and external analysis (industry and supplier)
  • Consolidate requirements and act as business partner for business/ other functions, supporting the alignment and optimization of specification with the business / other functions
  • Lead contract implementation and drive contract compliance
  • Deliver annual  savings  according to the defined targets  Support the work and efforts of a cross-functional sourcing team in all stages of a strategic sourcing project
  • Collaborate and align with global/ market/ country procurement teams as applicable
  • Lead e-RfX execution: Select supplier and drive fact based negotiations
  • Collaborate with legal to finalize contractual agreement and its administration
  • Work with Procurement Leads to implement and activate contracts globally Manage commercial supplier relationship management with key suppliers within the defined category scope
  • Maintain and manage relationship with suppliers identified as key suppliers in the respective category, monitors performance of key strategic suppliers according to the guidelines
  • Lead supplier development activities; set up cross-functional review meetings with key strategic suppliers in order to improve performance and further cost / demand reductions
  • Support the identification of potential contract improvement opportunities and re-negotiations Manage relationship with key stakeholders and business representatives
  • Provide input on volume/ specification/ price to build smart consumption policies
  • Act as an escalation point for category related issues and drive resolution in line with global Procurement policies
  • Achieve “buy-in” from key stakeholders in the market for major procurement initiatives
  • Create and outline contribution for budget improvements
  • Foster that business needs are being identified, represented and incorporated into category strategies

  • Advanced in sourcing and procurement methodologies in Facility Management category
  • Experience in Facility Management category management and sourcing execution on a global basis and in a retail environment
  • Extremely good knowledge of procurement strategy development and conveyance
  • Strong knowledge of procurement tools and data, content and automation
  • Experience in risk and compliance management
  • Strong ability to analyze specifications and influence demand
  • Extensive capability to independently interact throughout the adidas Group
  • Project and process management knowledge and experience
  • Excellent presentation, communication, interpersonal and influencing skills
  • Action oriented and solution minded team player with high degree of self-management
  • Proficiency in MS Office, SAP SRM, Ariba (Esourcing & P2P)
  • Fluent in English, spoken and written  Requisite Education and Experience / Minimum Qualifications:
  • A bachelor’s degree with emphasis on the areas of business, economics, finance, procurement or legal, or comparable professional education
  • At least 5 years’ working experience in similar or adequate role in Real Estate or Facility Management for a FMCG, Construction firm, Retail organization, Global Real Estate or Global Facility Management Provider.
