Senior Business Analyst Brand Finance – Originals FTW

Purpose & Overall Relevance for the Organisation:

• Act as a financial consultant and business partner to the Originals BU team by giving recommendations to enable and drive fact-based decision-making.

• Support and steer the business to achieve (financial) targets as well as the strategy based on the analysis of analytical indicators. This is supported by the creation of transparency about business performance.

Key Responsibilities:

• Partner with the Originals BU FTW team and support in strategic planning and translating overall BU targets into sub-category targets

• Create transparency on KPIs with respect to business plans (e.g. Net Sales, Volume, Margin, Range Size, Efficiencies, Sell-Through) on a fiscal and seasonal level

• Manage medium sized projects and/or actively participate in projects, implement results and ensure sustainability of achievements

• Develop and implement adequate and aligned communication packages to present results, recommendations and solutions

• Develop and implement state of the art analytical tools to improve e.g. range creation/planning/efficiency, margin calculation, market analysis, Category P&L, Strategic Business Planning etc. This includes standard reporting as well as ad-hoc analysis.

• Co-facilitate regular Hype performance reviews with the SMT by tracking the historical and especially the future performance of the Energy business

• Constantly optimize day to day processes or operational plans and deliver results with direct impact on the department targets.  Work towards the achievement of department targets

• Provide financial knowledge to the BU Originals FTW team and act as an interface between x-functional teams (Marketing, Design, Development/Costing, Marketing Operations, CtC-Teams, Strategy etc.) and different development locations (CCH, CCP, CCS) to drive alignment and to ensure smooth operation of the business.

• Support cost center managers in all financial aspects (e.g. investment and recruitment requests, T&E, cost recharges, etc.

• Partner with Brand Management Finance team on all MWB related requests (e.g. collaborations, royalty-based partnerships etc.) and build financial business cases for future collaborations

• Support regular budget and forecast processes (e.g. OOH, Royalties)

• Create transparency and documentation for monthly business review meetings including presentation of these contents to Senior Management of BU Originals FTW

• Support, implement and maintain/adapt coding structure and guidelines for BU Originals FTW; drive recoding processes and support coding training sessions for PM teams to steer data transparency and consistency

• Act as back-up for other team members of the BU Originals FTW Finance team during absences

Recurring (Weekly / Monthly) tasks:

• Generate monthly sales, volume and complexity reports and provide impactful analysis and insights on trends related to BU Originals FTW

• Manage monthly Business Review process (analytics, presentation deck, presentation to Senior Management Team BU Originals FTW)

• Ensure smooth quarterly Financial RFC process and validate correct input

• Work closely with Marketing Teams on any standard and ad hoc requests

• Provide Management Team with financial information upon request

• Support Director Brand Finance – Originals FTW in any arising special projects

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

• Deep business understanding of processes and structure

• Ability to operate cross-functionally and understanding of external business drivers

• Understanding of the complexity, interactions and dynamics within an international company

• Experience in project management

• Business fluency in English (written and spoken)

• Very good analytical skills, managing large data quantities from multiple sources

Requisite Education and Experience / Minimum Qualifications:

• University degree in Business Administration/Finance/Controlling

• Good understanding of analytical systems (e.g. SAP, BI, TM1)

• +4 years professional work experience
