Purpose & Overall Relevance for the Organization:

Use of PR as a fast, flexible and cost-efficient tool to present and position important adidas Originals products and concepts in a controlled and positive way in relevant media titles in Germany.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and drive the PR strategy for adidas Originals in DACH, from concept to execution
  • Processing of the most diverse PR inquiries in the category Style/Originals
  • Support in the development of the PR strategy Central Europe for the Originals category (starting position, goals, target group, core messages, target media, strategy, tactics, ideas, measures, channels, success control, KPIs)
  • Writing press releases,and executingPR campaigns
  • Lead and organize media and influencer events such as press days to introduce products and campaigns to media
  • Handling of PR activities for adidas brand concepts
  • Collaboration in overarching project groups
  • Providing ongoing service for and maintaining contact with media, bloggers and influencers in the area of streetstyle and fashion
  • Close cross-functional and cross-media coordination with the relevant external and internal stakeholders (e.g. agencies, product marketing, brand marketing, wholesale activation, corporate communications)

Requisite Education and Experience / Minimum Qualifications:

  • University degree (BA/MA, Magister) in Marketing, Journalism or Communication
  • At least 3 years professional experience in the field of PR/brand communication/journalism in corporations or agencies
  • Affinity to sport and sporty lifestyle
  • Contacts/network in the field of fashion and lifestyle, understanding and know-how in the field of social media
  • Good command of spoken and written English
  • Good PC skills (Word, Powerpoint, Access, Excel)
