Let’s talk about the role!

The Senior Manager, PR is responsible to lead the strategy and planning for PR Communications for Timberland in EMEA, directly managing the execution of the European Communication Strategy, developing the framework to facilitate the execution of PR plans by country and ensuring an overall alignment with the Global Strategy.

Primary accountabilities:

  • Work with Sr. Marketing Director EMEA and Global PR team to establish PR Communication objectives in line with global strategy

  • Work closely with Global PR team in the creation of globally relevant PR projects, ensuring synergies within the regions and developing a common framework to deliver the key brand messages

  • Work with all markets to facilitate execution of agreed PR plans, providing all necessary tools on the timings required and within approved budgets

  • Develop PR plans striving to innovate and optimize work with online partners and authenticators

  • Identify opportunities and manage execution of the European Corporate Communications plan, coordinating Senior Management, Social Responsibility management and Global leaders

  • Create and manage central PR projects and work closely with Sr. Retail Marketing Manager to identify and create communication plans in flagship stores

  • Work closely with VF Corporate Communication team to create synergies and increase visibility for both the brand and VF

  • Work with major markets to measure PR coverage and achievements versus objectives

  • Monitor the effectiveness of materials provided to the markets, recommending improvements and / or potential savings each season

  • Contribute positively to the Marketing team, creating content, sharing best PR practices to boost stakeholder engagement and team spirit

  • Build and maintain understanding of PR processes in Europe

  • Build and maintain knowledge of competitive PR and Corporate Communications activity, and share this with the wider Marketing team

How You’ll Make a Difference…

  • Academic: Degree in Marketing, Economics, Social Science or equivalent.

  • Relevant marketing qualifications would be an asset.

  • Experience: Must have at least 7 years of experience in PR or Marketing, within a branded environment or a PR agency, preferably in fashion / lifestyle industry.

  • Organizational and time management skills are essential as the ability to communicate with a wide range of people from Top Management, Press stakeholders, Corporate departments, Global Marketing, Regional Marketing across a wide variety of backgrounds and cultures

  • Language skills: Fluent in English (both written and spoken).
